Lady Gaga has a very personal song on her upcoming album. Not only did Gaga shock Little Monsters when she announced that her new single "Perfect Illusion" is coming next month, she also performed a couple of tracks from her new album at a private event for iHeartRadio. And, according to radio host Elvis Duran, one of the songs Gaga played is about something that is very special to the Germanotta family.
"Gaga did a couple of her new singles which I hear are just incredible," Elvis recalled. "She also did a song about someone very close to their family. I believe it's her father's sister passing away, and her father was in the audience when she did the song. He'd never heard her perform it. She was so real and fantastic when she sang that song. And I'm assuming knowing that her dad was right there in the room with her hearing it for the first time, it really, really brought out an award-winning performance. The whole room was in tears."
Fans have raised speculation that the track could actually be "Paradise," an unreleased song written for Gaga's jazz album with Tony Bennett. Mother Monster briefly talked about the tune in anexclusive interview with Gaga Daily back in 2014, saying: "It's inspired by my father's sister and him, and the phrases as they are traded, are meant to be their words to each other right before she died."
